In the mid 1960s Buick model range was quite complex. Their full-size (B-body) models came in two wheelbase lengths - the shorter 123" chassis was used for the Le Sabre series, which was split into two sub-series: LeSabre and LeSabre Custom, each of which came in a range of body styles. The longer 126" wheelbase chassis was used for the Wildcat and the Electra models. The higher price Electra was split into the Electra 225 and the Electra 225 Custom sub-series. The mid-price Wildcat series shared the Electra's chassis but used a different body, and was split into three sub-series: Wildcat, Wildcat Deluxe and Wildcat Custom. Carjam tells us that the car here is a mid-range Model 46439 Wildcat Deluxe four door hardtop for which the base price was $3,552. It was built in the Wilmington, Delaware, plant. Buick built a total of 13,903 of this particular variant. There will be a body data plate on the firewall which will tell the week it was built, its original colour, and the options fitted.
