VBW 4-axle composite electric railcar, Switzerland, 1973

Seen at the Worb Dorf station, which is 10 km from Bern, from the look of it for piece goods and passengers.

VBW stood for Vereinigten Bern-Worb-Bahnen, which operated in the Canton of Bern and existed from 1927 with the fusion of the Bern-Worb-Bahn with the Worblentalbahn (WT) and lasted to 1983 when the company merged with the Solothurn-Zollikofen-Bern-Bahn (SZB) to create Regionalverkehr Bern–Solothurn (RBS). The lines were metre gauge.
