On 22 June 1969, Kb 968, one of 6 of the 4-8-4 type sub-class made its final run from Christchurch to Arthur's Pass and back. This shows a photo stop near Cora Lynn and a Roy Sinclair pic (who is probably among those in the first photo) which was made into a postcard. More photos have been in our books. The engine is slowly being restored by the Mainline Steam Trust.
