SNCF Z 1500 electric multiple unit from 1929


Z 1500 class sets, powered by a 750 Volt DC third rail, ex the Etat system are seen in the Louveciennes and L'Avenue Foch-Dauphine stations respectively. A total of 60 powered cars and 60 trailers were built, run together in pairs and used from 1930.

The last set ran on the Ligne des Moulineaux between Puteaux and Issy-Plaine on 27 November 1985 and simultaneously the era of Paris mainline 3rd rail ended.
