bus above the skifield, Oregon, 1950s

 
Seen on the Mt Hood upper terminal in Oregon, no date but probably about the same time as this newsreel item. The bus engine turned the below floor wheels connected to roof level pulleys. The bus was kit-bashed out of a pair of Kenworth Model T-216 Pacific Schoolbuses. For controls at each end, two front halves were joined. Apparently it only lasted 3 years before the cheaper conventional alternative put it  out of business.
