Bordeaux port, 1920s


The array of cargo on the dock makes this interesting. "View taken from the transporter bridge", visible in the second pic.  This would have been 400 metres long and 45 metres above the water with 95 metre high pylons. It was begun in 1910, interrupted in 1914 after the pylons were completed and never finished. It was demolished in 1942.
