rail vehicles on the road and on the rails


A preserved NZR guards van is seen on the back of a Hooker Pacific Western Star unit, while above preserved KA 942 crosses a bridge with a steam charter. This is one of 20 oil paintings commissioned of Wallace Trickett to date from Hooker Pacific, whose main offices are in New Plymouth.

A little 'artistic license' is involved with the angle of the streamlining on the front of the loco, although this is how it should have been designed for more appeal.
