British Railways ticket counter art, early 1960s

"Good morning, my man, I have a travel warrant."
"You got wot?"
"I want first class seats to Bridlington for myself and my niece, please."

While on the subject of BR in the early '60s, here is a wonderfully evocative piece of pamphlet art about a 'travel warrant plan', redolent of the class distinction that existed in England at least into the 1980s (if you applied for a job and didn't have an English accent you would likely be asked what school you went to and what your father did).  In this case the man looks like he needs to visit the "gentlemen's" a.k.a. the "loo".
