miners' narrow gauge railway, Saarland, Germany

 

No date or precise location, but possibly 1950s, judging from the Turkish looking gentleman behind the driver.  During the West German Wirtschaftwunder or economic miracle of the 1950s and 1960s large numbers of Turks were brought to the country to meet labor shortages, most of whom stayed there.   The form of propulsion isn't obvious - batteries?
