Wuppertal Schwebebahn

The best known feature of this German city. An undated old slide but our guess is circa 1960.  See earlier post.

I think I can help you with some more details to that undates slide.

The photo shows a train of B 50 serial, built from up 1950 by "Westwaggon" in Cologne. These trains were replaced by new articulated trains between 1972 and 1974.

This train is an eastbound train towards "Oberbarmen" while entering the station today called "Robert-Daum Platz" - former name (may be actual in the time, the photo has been taken) "Tannenbergstrasse".

The photo has been taken at that place, where the heaviest accident of the history of "Schwebebahn" happened on April 12th 1999 - have a loot at the following wikipedia link (sorry, just in german language)

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwebebahnunfall_in_Wuppertal_1999

I think that this photo has been taken in the mid 60th - on the right it looks like, als the buildings were prepared for demolition, in the late 60th a modern high building was placed there.

I hope, that I could help you.

greetings from Wuppertal
