LAX theme structures

The iconic Theme Building in World Way, containing a restaurant, was built in 1961, and has been retrofitted a little since then.

The translucent pylons along Century Boulevard and the airport gateway became a symbol of LAX in 2000. Ranging between 25 and 100 feet (8 to 31 metres) in height, the pylons cycle through 300 color variations in three hours. (Carol M. Highsmith-LOC)
