the Mont Pélerin funicular, Vevey, Switzerland

A postcard view showing the scenery across Lac Leman or Lake Geneva from not long after this 1.58 km (almost 1 mile) metre gauge line up Mont Pélerin ('mount pilgrim') was opened in 1900.  It still operates, more facts here.

The seven peaks together in the left distance are known as Les Dents du Midi ('the teeth of the south').
