A DM (motorised) plus D (trailer) two-car set as once used on the Johnsonville Branch, seen at the Ferrymead Railway Museum in Christchurch. We are not sure if this set is back there after being requisitioned for Wellington use, before the Matangi sets arrived.
Regardless, if you're passing through Christchurch this summer, pay this museum a visit. Running days are advertised on their website.
