The 1948-52 Ford Prefect has the red 1956-61 issue plates fitted and is wearing a 1955-56 registration sticker on the windscreen, so the date is likely to be mid-1956. On the right is a 1939 Ford coupe and in the background is a Humber Hawk. It is hard to say with the Hawk whether it is a Mk V from 1952-54 - the last of the side valve models - or a 1954-55 Mk VI with the new overhead valve engine.
