An example of the Ae 3/6 II, the last series-built locomotive with rod drive for higher speeds made in Switzerland. 60 of these 2-C-1 type were built between 1921 and 1926 and were withdrawn 4-5 decades later. Output power was stated as 1'475 kW (2’000 hp) at the one hour rating.
