diesel multiple units on the east coast of Ireland, 1965

In front are two AEC-built 2600 Class from the 1950s, which comprised 66 powered cars. Each had two AEC A215 engines rated at 250 hp combined; transmission was mechanical; axle arrangement was 1A-A1. One is preserved.

What are those two cars behind?

The two outer cars are railcars, the two middle are loco-hauled carriages, common practice on CIE. The green cars at the front are in the older livery.
