Very interesting photo. This is Aleje Jerozolimskie, the main east-west thoroughfare running through Warsaw, at the junction with ulica Emilii Plater. On the other side of the street is the British Institute - now the British Council. Cars - a Yugoslavian Zastava (licence-built Fiat 600), turning into Emilii Plater is an FSO Warszawa (licence-built GAZ M-20 Pobieda). The Konstal 13N trams in the photo only disappeared from Warsaw two years ago.
