A pic taken in 1967, location not given. A total 60 of these Iberian gauge (1668 mm) 2-car sets, one car powered by a 570 kW (775 hp) Fiat engine, were built by Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles or CAF between 1964 and 1966. In service they were quickly named TER,
Tren Espanol Rapido, i.e. Spanish Fast Train, and were often used as two coupled 2-car sets with a total capacity of 256, of which 112 first class. They were withdrawn as from 1990, the last in 1995. Some were sold to Argentina, some scrapped and three preserved.
