Not very exciting at this point perhaps, but a significant sized fishing fleet was soon to be based here; many of the vessels were owned by Italian and Shetland Island immigrants, details of which are in the book Nets, Lines and Pots volume one by Emmanuel Makarios.
Today the fleet has largely diminished again, but it is still a picturesque place.
