Bern-Neuenburg-Bahn electric railcar, Switzerland

A 2/4 (presumably meaning it had one powered axle in each bogie) railcar of this former 42 km railway, which was opened on 1 July 1901. It was electrified in 2 stages between 1923 and 1928 and this railcar dated from that time.

In June 1997 the BN was fusioned with the Spiez-Erlenbach-Zweisimmen-Bahn, the Gürbetal-Bern-Schwarzenburg-Bahn and the Berner Alpenbahngesellschaft BLS (Bern–Lötschberg–Simplon) to the BLS Lötschbergbahn.
