another efficient method of hauling logs


While moving logs by rail substantially reduces the friction that is involved in moving them by road, moving them like this would reduce friction even more, although the water expanse would need to be suitably large and still: a raft of logs is pulled by a tug on Puget Sound, Washington, seen at Deception Pass.
