Warsaw's Third Bridge, 1925

This 506-metre-long steel bridge, now called Most Poniatowskiego, consisting of eight spans, was designed by Stefan Szyller. Its construction, started in 1904, was supervised by engineers Mieczysław Marszewski and Wacław Paszkowski.and opened on 6 January 1914, by the Russian Governor General, Georgi Skalon, as Warsaw's third bridge; hence it was named unofficially trzeci most or third bridge.

It was substantially destroyed by the Germans in September 1944 and rebuilt in purely functional style in 1946, later widened in the 1960s

In 2004 a reconstruction and beautification of the bridge began. The next year the small towers and the first four spans were rebuilt. Tram track repairs were carried out in 2007.
