British LMS class 8F freight locomotive


This was a freight version of William Stanier's "Black Five" and of 852 produced between 1935–1946 many saw service outside Britain in Egypt, Palestine, Iran (Iranian Railways class 41), Iraq (Iraqi State Railways class TD), Italy (FS Class 737) and Turkey (TCDD 45151 Class).

It's not apparent where this artwork is set, except that it is not British scenery!
