1950s West German diesel railcar

The diesel railcars of the 1950s ordered by the Deutsche Bundesbahn were characterised by their cigar shapes (in fact 'cigar' was a common nickname) and began with the classification VT for Verbrennungstriebwagen or internal combustion railcar.  This postcard was designed as a pretty picture rather than a reference for rail enthusiasts, but we'll have some more identifiable pics soon.
