the former viaduct of Bréhec, France


The Viaduc de Bréhec was built by Louis Auguste Harel de La Noë between 1913 and 1918 for the Chemins de Fer des Côtes-du-Nord, a one-time extensive metre-gauge network of which the last line was closed in 1956. It was consolidated by the addition of bracing at mid-height in 1922 and put in service the same year. The railway line was that from Paimpol to Plouha.

12 identical spans of 12 metres opening
Total length: 203 metres
Height: 32 metres

It was destroyed in 1972.
