Avro RJ85

An Avro RJ85 seen in the colours of the Belgian airline Sabena, which like Swissair was a victim of the downturn in aviation following the 9/11 Muslim terrorist attacks.

This was a later development of the British Aerospace or BAe 146, which began being manufactured in 1981 and which was used by Ansett NZ among others.  Deliveries of the RJ85 began in April 1993. The whole BAe 146 series ceased in 2001.
