steam train in the Gorges du Var, Chemin de Fer de la Provence, France

This scene was not far from the beginning of another metre-gauge line which ran 26.56 km up the Tinée River which lasted from 1912 to 1931 and was intended to connect the villages de la Tinée to the network of the 'Intérêt Général Sud France on its line from Nice to Digne.

In the Google Earth view, the former railway bridge at the start of this line is still standing on the right.
