traffic in Colombo Street, Christchurch, circa 1900


Obviously viewed from the Cathedral bell tower.  This was in days of private tram companies, some of which used steam power, but most trams were horse-drawn.

  1. Looking south down Colombo Street, the old United Service Hotel on the right and behind the trees on the left the original 1966 BNZ bank building.
