This 3.9 km metre-gauge system using 550 Volts DC lasted from 1904 to 1940. It provided transport between the town and the station of Beaucourt-Dasle. Passenger service ceased in 1937, merchandise (for the factory of the Japy Frères) in 1940, all replaced by buses and trucks. Despite the short distance, there was a change in altitude of 193 metres and a maximum gradient of 9.5%. Maximum speed was only 20 km/h, and rolling stock in 1928 comprised 2 power cars with places for 26 passengers, two trailers for 30 and 50 places respectively, 4 goods cars, a baggage van named Choucarde by the Beaucourtois, and 5 goods trailers. All had hand, electric and magnetic brakes.
