This Railmotor was built in 1931 and powered by a truck engine. At the time of the line's closure it provided a once a week trip.  The 143 km line was originally opened in 1888 and closed in 1960 and the rails removed. No thought was given to preserving it as a tourist operation because at the time there were few tourists.  However, the similarly adventurous Normanton to Croydon line was saved (see earlier post).
