O'Connell Bridge, Dublin, 1920s

The O'Connell Bridge over the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland, is slightly wider than it is long, about 50 metres and 45 metres respectively, and in this respect is unique in Europe as far as a traffic bridge is concerned.  The original bridge was built in the 18th century; this one was finished in 1882.
