The Italian Fiat Topolino was manufactured between 1936 and 1955, one of the smallest cars in this period and was accordingly cheap. Its top speed was about 85 km/ (53 mph), and its fuel consumption was 39.2 mpg (U.S) or 6 L/100 km or 47.1 mpg imperial). It had a 569 cc four-cylinder, side valve, watercooled engine mounted in front of the front axle. Nearly 520,000 of the Topolino were made.
