We are saddened to report the death of Betty Churchman (née Adam) this morning. She played a significant role in the early years of the business as well as in community organisations such as Probus, arts and crafts societies like ikebana and the Karori Historic Society. She was born and raised in Napier and as a girl experienced the Napier earthquake of 1931. After the death of her parents, she moved to Wellington where she met her future husband Albert in 1949 and they married in 1952. She was always good natured, conscientious, honest and helpful, and was liked by all who knew her. She is survived by son Geoffrey and daughter Rosalind.
