scene at Lyttelton wharf, circa 1902


From The Cyclopedia of New Zealand [Canterbury Provincial District] published in 1903.  'Intercolonial' here presumably means the ships voyaged between Australia and New Zealand, and maybe South Africa.  On the wharf a horse can be seen attached to a goods wagon.
