As those who have the book Wellington: a Capital Century know, Wadestown was the first tram line in Wellington to be closed in 1949. This photo shows a replacement trolleybus climbing the steep Lennel Road to the terminus in 1951. A detailed description of the bus is in the book Wellington Transport Memories.
