electric trains in Blue Mountains snow

The railway line through the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, reaches an altitude of 1,000 metres so it is no surprise that it sees snow falls in winter.  Here are a couple of scenes from July 1984: first, electric locomotive 4634 with a Bathurst to Sydney train arrives at Bell; second, single decker interurban set U4 at Lithgow awaits a run back to Sydney.  Both items of motive power were from the 1950s.
