German 93 class 2-8-2 (Austrian class 378 to 1938)

The DRG Class 93 was built between 1927 and 1931, among others by the company Floridsdorf, a superheated tender locomotive, which with a low axle weight was for use on branch lines. The original consutruction was of 167 units for the BBO, after the Anschluss of 1938 they became Deutsche Reichsbahn series 93 1301 – 1467.

In 1941, the Slovakian State Railway ordered 25 of them in slightly modified form and put them into service under the designation 431.0. After the end of WW2 the locomotives remained with the CSD.
