The Fiat 308 was built between 1971 and 1978 and equipped with the 8200.12 6-cylinder in-line engine of 9,819 cc delivering 194 hp. The gearbox was mechanical with 4 or 5 speeds. The peculiarity of this model was the presence of the engine in the center of the frame, in the so-called "sole" configuration. Passenger seating places totalled 43.
