Lucan Steam Tram, Dublin, Ireland, late 1890s

The Lucan line ran to this western suburb. In the pic from left to right: a locomotive, a 'toast rack' car, a saloon car and another divided into first and second class sections.  The line started 36 ft from the end of the Dublin Tramways line at Parkgate Street, continued along the north side of the road to Chapelizod and crossed the Liffey River on the east side of the bridge. From there to Lucan it ran on the south side of the road.
