aerial cableway gondola of Tromsø, Norway

An original car.

The Fjellheisen (aerial cableway) was built in 1961 by Brødrene Jakobsens Rederi, a shipping company that operated extensively in polar hunting, fishing and expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctic. The gondolas proudly carry the company's two symbols; the polar bear and the seal. The mountain lift stretches from Solliveien in Tromsdalen up to the mountain shelf of Storsteinen. The bottom station is 50 meters above sea level. The top station, Fjellstua, is 421 metres above sea level. The trip up takes four minutes.
