a steam train arrives at Buitenzorg (Bogor) Indonesia, pre-WW1


Buitenzorg was the Dutch colonial name and the railways were run by the Dutch Indies Railway Company (Nederlands-Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij). As mentioned in previous posts, nearly all of Indonesia's railways were built in 3'6" cape gauge.  This scene is probably completely changed today.
