The C4 class cars were the first with only one driving cab (at one end only). The first car was delivered in 1960 and 199 more by the end of 1967. They were mainly used on the line II, which was inaugurated in April 1964. All C4 class were withdrawn by the end of 2001. The power cars were Bo-Bo type, traction motors were Weco 1447B ASEA LJB 2948, length was 17.62 metres, width 2.78 metres, seating was for 48 passengers with 108 standing = 156 passengers capacity.
Route 14 was Fruängen – Mörby centrum.
With the driving cab at one end, did the units have to be reversed for the return trip?
ReplyDeleteTwo sets were probably permanently coupled back to back.
ReplyDeleteLine 14 was Ropsten to Fruängen in those days - it only became Mörby Centrum to Fruängen from June 2004.
