Malayan Railways class 20 diesel-electric from 1957

This class, comprising 26 units was a 1,500 hp Co-Co type built by English Electric's Vulcan Foundry (Newton-Le-Willows, Lancashire) plant from 1957 to 1958 as the first diesels on Malaysia's metre-gauge main lines, and is another with a distinct visual similarity to the NZR Df class of 1954. Their livery in service was very similar to NZR's, too (see this photo).

They mainly worked prime passenger and freight trains. Their weight was stated as 90 tons. Road numbers were 20101-20126. One has been preserved.
