ship 'La Marseillaise'


This was built in 1949 by Chantiers Navals de La Ciotat, 181.1 metres long x 23.2 metres, powered by three oil engines which gave the ship a speed of 20 knots; capacity was 18,427 grt.

In October 1961, then named Bianca C, owned by the Costa Line of Italy, the ship sank after a fire and explosion off the island of Grenada with 3 casualties.
