She didn't last long: built for the Transatlantique Compagnie Generale by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson, of Newcastle, England, she entered service in 1910.

In February 1915 the ship was requisitioned and put into service as an auxillary cruiser. On 4 July that year she was sunk by German submarines off the coast of Gallipoli.

5,275 grt; 1,524 dwt; steel hull; 121.75 x 15.6 metres; Three-cylinder triple-expansion machine; 9,000 hp; 2 helices; 19 knots speed in service.
