Fokker 100 twin-turbofan jet

This example is still in service with Alliance Airlines, based in Brisbane.
The Fokker 100, a reference to the number of seats, was introduced into service in 1988, and low operational costs saw strong sales, but they declined as competition increased. Production ended in 1997 with 283 airframes delivered. In July 2012, 156 Fokker 100 aircraft remained in service with 30 airlines. It was the largest jet airliner built by Fokker before its bankruptcy in 1997.
