One the 10 Westinghouse and Baldwin built EP-3 class electric locomotives from 1919, nicknamed 'Quills' because of their use of a
quill drive, is seen with a passenger train in Montana in 1956, the year before it was withdrawn.
These had a 2-Co-1+1-Co-2 axle arrangement, had a One Hour output rating of 4,680 hp (3,490 kW), a top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) and were powered by 3 kV DC from overhead.
