prolonged use of tablet computers is responsible for serious back and neck pain

The problem with tablet computers - of which the iPad is the best known - is that they can't be properly set up ergonomically where the keyboard is separated from the screen, so people hunch over them.

This article in the Daily Telegraph (UK) says that the use of them has seen the number of young people seeking help for back or neck pain rising 60 per cent in the past year and nearly half of young people are suffering from neck or back pain because of the ‘sedentery epidemic’.
