cars outside The Ambassador hotel, Los Angeles, circa 1960

A 1959 Cadillac and a 1960 Buick. The Ambassador was famous, most notably as the location of the June 1968 assassination of presidential candidate, US Senator and former Attorney General, Robert F. Kennedy, but it was also the venue for early Academy Awards and it was a popular filming location and backdrop for movies and television programs. After a protracted tussle between different authorities, most of it was demolished in 2005.
