Wellington tram at one of the entrances to the Botanic Gardens, late 1900s

A similar but different scene to one in an earlier post in what is now Glenmore Street by the lower entrance of the Botanic Gardens in the background. The road number looks like 22.  There is a motor inn today where the tea rooms is and the Chinese embassy is now to the right of the photographer's standpoint. For lots more, see the book Wellington Transport Memories.
